How aixjo Rates AI Tools
Short answer
An aixjo rating is shown only when at least four of six criteria have documented evidence; otherwise the page says 'Not yet rated'. Each criterion is scored 1–5 with a one-line reason and a link, and the overall score is the average, shown as 'based on N of 6 criteria' with a date. As of October 2026 no tool has a published rating yet.
Rating rubric
| Criterion | What earns a high score | Evidence required |
|---|---|---|
| Capability for stated use | Does the documented job well; limits disclosed | Official docs plus a dated test or credible reports |
| Pricing clarity and value | Prices public, limits clear, no surprise tiers | Official pricing page |
| Free plan usefulness | Free tier can complete a real task | Official limits |
| Transparency and reliability | Status page, changelog, outage and shutdown history | Public status and changelog |
| Privacy and data handling | Training use and retention stated; admin controls | Official privacy and security docs |
| Support and ecosystem | Docs, integrations, export options | Official docs |
Why most tools say 'Not yet rated'
Until October 2026 aixjo showed star ratings, review counts and an identical rating breakdown on every tool page. None of it had a source, so it was removed. Ratings will return tool by tool as we document evidence against this rubric.
Third-party scores
Scores from sites such as G2, Capterra or app stores are shown separately from our rating, only with the source, review count and the date we read them, and are removed once older than 45 days. We never merge them into one number.
Reader reviews
We plan to accept reader reviews: email-verified, one per person per tool, moderated for spam and conflicts of interest, and labelled 'Reader review – not verified by aixjo'. No average is shown until a tool has at least ten genuine reviews. We never publish seeded, synthetic or paid reviews.
Common questions
Why did aixjo remove star ratings?
They had no documented source. We now show a rating only when it is backed by evidence against a published rubric.
Can a vendor pay for a better rating?
No. Payment never changes ratings, rankings or evidence labels.
